What are the file submission requirements?
When submitting files to O’Neil Printing, please follow these guidelines.
If you are using Quark, do a Collect for Output, to gather all images, fonts, and graphics. Pleaseprovide a set of lasers and indicate any PMS colors or special treatments such as Varnish, UV, Foil, Emboss,Deboss or Engraving. All files should have 1/8 th inch bleeds
If you are using InDesign, perform a package fuction, to gather all images, fonts, and graphics. Pleaseprovide a set of lasers and indicate any PMS colors or special treatments such as Varnish, UV, Foil, Emboss,
Deboss or Engraving. All files should have 1/8 th inch bleeds
If submitting PDF files, ensure they are Hi-Res, have 1/8 th inch bleed, include crop marks that offset out of the live area, CMYK or PMS colors to be used, no RGB, and Embed ALL fonts. If you are in need of help in creating files in this manner, please feel free to contact us and we will help guide you thru the process. We can provide Distiller setting that will enable you to do this fuction.
If you are working in Illustrator, be sure to include fonts, and any links or placed artwork. This reduces the time needed for any changes that might be required such as color correction, retouching, and copy changes. Please create files to final size with 1/8 th inch bleeds, not an oversize document.
FTP or E-Mail files that have no hard copy provided, please supply a PDF with embedded font, so lasers can be output for QC.
If lasers provided are not 100%, please indicate the size thay are output at. Do not set up documents in Printer spreads if the project is more than 4 total pages. Build larger projects as single pages ( facing pages ok).
Check for proper resolution- 300 dpi for images, lineart or bitmap art 1200 dpi. No LZW compression on TIFF’s also.
Thank you for following these guidelines, as this will help O’Neil Printing produce your project in a more exacting, efficent and timely manner.
