WHAT IS YOUR NAME, TITLE AND PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT?
Wendy Suljak, Director of Marketing, ZELTIQ.
WHEN DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A MARKETER?
My professor in business school told a great story about launching chocolate and vanilla swirled pudding snacks… apparently, it was a complete failure at first because the vanilla mixed in with the chocolate when the trucks were sending it to grocery stores all over the country. But he figured it out and was able to re-launch it and it was a hit.
HOW DID YOU START WORKING WITH O'NEIL PRINTING AND WHAT HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE BEEN LIKE?
I started working with O'Neil when I came to Zeltiq a little over 3 years ago. One of the things I love about O'Neil is I never feel alone. I have needed print items while I’m on the road and there is a lot of comfort that I can pick up the phone and reach someone immediately who is excited to help me out.
HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP THE BENEFITS OF USING O’NEIL DIRECT?
I love O'Neil Direct! It’s simple and easy. As a marketer at ZELTIQ, it’s important for us to deliver a flexible and efficient solution to our sales representative. The site is incredibly flexible to maintain, and we can streamline it for different user groups. For example, Chinese assets would be visible only to certain geographies whereas the English assets might be available to all. A sales representative can easily see how many are available in stock, and on our end, we can monitor special items by setting order limits.
IF YOU COULD BE AN ANIMAL, WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?
Possibly a 300 lb canary. If you are a 300 lb canary, you can do whatever you want! But seriously, I had to take a Buzzfeed quiz to help me with this one. It said I was a dolphin because I like being around others.
WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU WITNESSED IN THE MARKETING WORLD?
There is no anonymity anymore! Social media has truly connected everything together. If you use social media, there is a profile on you!
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE PROJECT YOU'VE WORKED ON TO DATE?
Truly, our Brand Store. I’m so excited!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE "JUNK FOOD"?
Cheetos. I’m embarrassed by it.
OUT-OF-TOWN VISITOR IS COMING TO THE BAY AREA, WHAT RESTAURANT DO YOU TAKE THEM TO?
I would love to take them to hot pot, dimsum or a good BBQ… you get to hang out and catch up.
