| Innovation in water? |

| Innovative solution includes bags of water |
Recently, Katie Nelson with The Arizona Republic, in an article titled, Up Up and Away, noticed an innovation - designed by Fervor Creative - engineered & produced by O'Neil Printing. Apparently the invitations are creating 'quite a splash.'
More evidence that Tempe is growing up -- or the buildings in it are anyway -- arrived in our mailbox today. The Tempe Republic received a water pillow invitation to what sounds like a swanky anniversary party for SunCor Development Company. The cardboard folder around the coaster-sized water pillow indicates the March 15 event will include a "special unveiling" and a toast to mark the opening of Hayden Ferry Lakeside Tower II. It also says the evening is an invitation-only affair. Even the invites are "non-transferable."
Now, The Tempe Republic has been inside Tower II, and while we don't claim to be experts on architecture or interior design, the lobby is a sight to see. Here's a hint: don't wear all blue, or you might just become invisible. ALSO, we don't really know what the water pillow is for. Is it an ice pack for our lunch? A cold press for our heads to be used when sources don't return our calls? Perhaps it's just supposed to be pretty. Any ideas?
