PHOENIX – June 2, 2008 – O'Neil Printing, Phoenix’s premier full-service printer celebrating their 100th anniversary, received the prestigious Gold Award from Sappi Fine Paper North America, presenter of the 12th Annual North American Printers of the Year Awards. The competition represents the best printers and their work in the United States and Canada.

Entries from over 2,000 participants were judged based on the overall impact of the piece, degree of difficulty and technical excellence. The awards are broken into several categories, including annual reports, books, brochures, printer’s own promotion, magazines, calendars and catalogs. O’Neil Printing was selected for its work on the case bound, 312-page art book Kenworthy, Jonathan Kenworthy, Sculpture and Works on Paper, featuring the work of renowned sculptor Jonathan Kenworthy.

Having been the recipient of The Silver Award, O’Neil Printing was then qualified for further recognition as a Gold Award Winner at an elegant gala in Dallas Texas on May 17, 2008, O'Neil was honored as the Gold Award Winner in the books category. Among 2,000 entries, only eight were chosen for this prestigious award.

The eight winners are now in the running for the esteemed Sappi International Printers of the Year awards to be held in Cape Town, South Africa in October 2008.
